Valentine’s Day – a pagan turned Christian turned commercial holiday. And while I’m totally fine with no longer sacrificing dogs and goats and being slapped by the hide in belief of becoming more fertile, I can’t help but wonder what February 14th will turn into next.
If I had my way, it would be a day dedicated to the most extreme comfort/snack foods available! Lucky for me, it appears as if the inner circle of Immortal Guardians has already taken a vote, and are doing just that.
Every pizza joint and donut shop has your typical heart-shaped treat, but these places really stole the show (and my heart).
Doritos Ketchup Roses
Yup, they’re exactly what they sound like – a bouquet of roses, made out of the limited time ketchup Doritos. Handmade, these long stemmed beauties were available in Vancouver, Toronto, and Montreal. Unfortunately I wasn’t quick enough to get my hands on a dozen, but here’s a handy DIY video!
Burger King – Adults Only Meal
In Israel, Burger King put out a special “adults only” kids meal, available from 6pm onward. The meal included 2 of BK’s signature Whoppers, 2 fries, 2 drinks, and a special toy. I wonder if any really
horny hungry patrons collected all 3 toys?
KFC – Buckets and Bouquets
KFC in Canada and New Zealand had two different promotions on. Some very lucky Canucks received (although there’d be no judgement on my end if you could have purchased this for yourself) ChickenGrams – a heart shaped bucket full of fried chicken. To win this bucket of chicken, you had to submit your love story into the chicken chain.
In New Zealand, there were only 2 lucky winners of the Pop Corn Chicken Bouquet. All you had to do to enter was tag your special someone on their post on Facebook, and (if you were a winner) be able to pick up the bouquet at a specific KFC.
Taco Bell Wedding
Technically not a Valentine’s Day special, but announced on the ~*~day of luv~*~ you can soon get married at a Taco Bell in Las Vegas! Starting summer 2017, the flagship restaurant will be offering a very cheesy wedding package for only $600. Taco Bell has launched a contest for one lucky couple to be the first married in their cantina – enter here!
Although I’ve had many romantic fantasies involving fried chicken on date night, I was much more lucky to come home to three of my favourite men – Ryan, Ben & Jerry.
In partnership with Urbery , Ben & Jerry’s ice cream is now available for delivery! You have the choice between 6 of their flavours, ranging from $8.99-9.99, plus delivery. Need your ice cream fix? Get it here, and be sure to use the discount code MOOPON for free delivery on your first order!
They even came with their own shovel-spoons! Not the most practical utensil, but definitely fun
